अधमा ध्नमिच्छछन्ति धनं मानं च मध्यमा:।
उत्तमा मानमिच्छन्ति मानो हि महतां धनम् ।।
Adhamaa Dhanamichanti Dhanam Maanan cha Maddhyamaah |
Uttamaa Maanamichanti Maano Hi Mahataam Dhanam ||
The mean aspire only for wealth, the mediocre yearn or wealth and honor both, while the nobles care only for honor.
The real treasure of great men is only honor.
