The following is a verse from the second chapter of Bhagavad Gita. This is important here since it is the inspiration behind Project Ulooka. Krishna is in the midst of delivering lessons on transcendent meditation, to Arjuna.

The above transliteration is taken from the book on the Gita, authored by Shri Bibek Debroy. Too often, we tend to find ourselves in the midst of discussions, debates and conversations, which in the larger picture, don't matter at all or trivial, at best. The giant machinery of the popular culture and media ensures that we are hooked to the being the former, in this verse.
Consumerism makes us voluntarily submit ourselves on the never-ending quest for material possessions, while the narratives set by those with the biggest megaphones nudge us to worry, fight and think about issues which either paints a preconceived picture of reality or still, create an alternative, illusory 'safe-space'.
Although, thought leaders and intellectuals (of the real kind, not the self-anointed type), strive to start a discussion about those things that really matter, their voices are drowned by the cacophony of mass media. But, it doesn't mean that we can't have a meaningful dialogue on ideas, theories, ideologies and opinions which have the potential to form the bedrock for every thinking person out there.
And so, starting today, this project seeks to play a role in this regard. Stay tuned to find out more in the very near future.
