मूर्खस्तु परिहर्तव्य: प्रत्यक्षो द्विपद: पशु:।
भिनत्ति वाक्यशूलेन अदृश्ययं कण्टकं यथा ।।
Moorkhastu Paribartavyah Prattyaksho Dvipadah Pashuh |
Bhinattih Vaakyashoolen Adrishyayam Kantakam Yathaa ||
One should cease contact with the fools, regarding them as the biped animals, because they sting us by their senseless speech as though they are piercing an invisible thorn
A man devoid of common intelligence is like a two-footed animal. He stings us by his speech. Though we can’t see the thorn, we feel its pinch caused by his incisive words.
