पलायनैर्नापयाति निश्चला भवितव्यता ।

देहिनः पुच्छसंलीना वह्निज्वालेव पक्षिणाम् ।।

राजतरङ्गिणी - 7 - 222

One cannot avoid one's fate by running away, the fire that has caught the tail feather of a bird follows it wherever it flies.
